What the work involves

• Widen the crack to at least 1/4 inch with a chisel and hammer, using vertical or inverted-V edges rather than leaving a narrow hairline opening.
• Break away deteriorated stucco and remove loose particles with a wire brush before applying repair material.
• For cracks under 1/2 inch wide, cut the stucco-repair cartridge nozzle at an angle and force a bead deep into the crack with a caulk gun.
